Taiji Songquan· Promote the Dao and cultivate righteousness

A time-honored brand established in 1988

Opening the subject and spreading the teachings, Tai Chi has a special connection

The Ode to the Pillar of the Great Dharma

Suddenly, the earth and fire burst forth, and nature formed strange stones. Compared with the neighbors, they are more refined and are called “pillars of Dharma”.

The pillars of the law, like a mirror, reflect the dust slips of the capital, the magnificent writings of the Red Chamber, and the grand scrolls of the Yan Garden.

The pillar of the law serves as a pen, filled with nameless paste, writing furiously all over the sky, and the grandeur of Fan Zhang Xian.

The Dharma pillar nurtures plum blossoms, gracefully admiring the charm of the beautiful forest, clarifying the law and cultivating virtue, being both upright and square.

This pillar flows gently, my heart is full of sincerity, I rule the world, and Kunlun is engraved in my heart.

Nature is the way.

The Northern tradition follows the Taiji, and the Songquan tradition brings forth the Primordial chaos.

The realm of truth is endless, all stemming from the sincerity of the ants.

For three years, I haven’t visited the garden, but my mind and spirit are united.

One should learn from a good teacher and also visit a wise friend.

Follow the rules everywhere, and a single thread will enlighten the mind.

Layer by layer, deeper and deeper, each layer has boundless meaning.

One opening follows another closing, opening and closing pass on each other.

Sometimes, when you start to win, you just can’t stop working.

The time adds 黾勉, and the sun rises on its own.

Once there are no obstacles, one suddenly realizes the vastness of space.

Making his debut on the field, he made a name for himself

Mr. Yang Songquan, the 11th generation inheritor of Chen-style Tai Chi, a direct disciple of Master Chen Zhaopi, the president of Beijing Chenjiagou Tai Chi Association, and the chief Tai Chi coach of Peking University Law School, was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the competition and demonstrated the second form of Chen-style Old Tai Chi (Pao Chui) in the “Master Performance” section. The performance of the two-way boxing, which combines strength and softness, is characterized by swift movement, leaping and jumping, and a complete and integrated style, was vividly demonstrated. It exuded the grandeur of a monster emerging from a cave or a tiger descending from the mountain, as well as the divine might of a dragon emerging from the sea or a lion shaking its fur, earning rounds of applause from the entire audience!

The Peking University Law Tai Chi Songquan Team sent two teams to participate in this competition and achieved remarkable results. The two teams respectively achieved outstanding results, winning the first and second places in the collective old frame competition, and also received awards such as the “Best Performance Team Award” and the “Best Athlete”.

At halftime, Professor Wang Jiancheng from the Peking University Law School Tai Chi Songquan Team performed Chen-style Tai Chi Double Swords for all the audience. When walking, it is like butterflies fluttering gracefully. When squatting, it looks like a coiling dragon and a crouching tiger. Turning around and splitting the sword, it was like a strange python turning over. Flowing like clouds and water, continuous and unbroken, it is extremely beautiful!

Finally, the Beida Fa Tai Chi Songquan team performed Chen-style Tai Chi Comprehensive Boxing. The first half is the old frame path, which is mainly soft with a combination of softness and strength. The frame posture is spacious and elegant, and the footwork is light, agile and steady. The second half is dominated by strength, with a blend of strength and softness. It generates force by striking the feet, spreads and moves nimbly, follows the entire body, and the force is complete.

It takes ten years to sharpen a sword, and only then can the fragrance of plum blossoms be achieved

Tai Chi has a deep tradition at Peking University. The former president, Mr. CAI Yuanpei, advocated that “a complete personality begins with physical education.” The so-called “physical education” refers to “the education of the body”, which is quite different from the commonly believed concept.

Tai Chi promotes physical health and enhances the vitality of the body. Tai Chi culture, on the other hand, can play a role in strengthening the body through Tai Chi, cultivating people through culture, and promoting the Dao and nurturing the right path.

Tai Chi is continuous and fluid, and Tai Chi culture is profound and extensive with a long history, just like the reflection of the unremitting exploration and diligent pursuit of the law School of Peking University on the path of the rule of law.

Practicing Tai Chi and spreading Tai Chi culture is a manifestation of responding to the national call for “promoting mass fitness and building a healthy China” to build a sports power.
