The master taught Wang Mingyan Tai Chi

Thank you, Master! Today’s trip to the martial arts school was not only enjoyable and joyful, but also full of gains.

Sitting around the master with everyone else, we enjoyed a harmonious and peaceful atmosphere. While sipping tea, listen to the master explain the way of Tai Chi in a simple and clear way, the natural great way. Integrating the principles and intentions of Tai Chi with social life and the principles of being a person in a vivid and interesting way, every word is a gem, and one can benefit a lot.

During the epidemic, I have been watching videos of my master leading the coaches to demonstrate Tai Chi push hands. Today, I can finally ask for advice in person again.

The master took receiving a massage and Tai Chi pushing hands as examples to make us understand that receiving a massage is a very enjoyable comfort, but it is a passive comfort. However, Tai Chi pushing hands is the true enjoyment and the most advanced form of health preservation!

During the process of pushing hands, the two sides’ arms were intertwined, their feet moved and turned, and through the movement and stillness, opening and closing, the internal vitality and power of their bodies were stimulated. There were both thrilling and dangerous moments, turning danger into safety, and a relatively balanced and evenly matched situation. In each move, the boxing forms and techniques they had practiced in daily life were integrated.

The most brilliant part was the master’s demonstration of a move where the body slightly leaned forward. It seemed like a simple act of loosening the waist and lowering the hips, but in fact, it required the soles of the feet to be firmly fixed and the inner strength to be surging. In an instant, we were already unable to cope and fell to the ground on our backs.

The master and his disciples pushed each other

Our master often tells us that when practicing Tai Chi, one does not hit others. However, if someone comes to attack, the combination of hardness and softness in Tai Chi and the use of softness to overcome hardness are both winning strategies.

The five-thousand-year-old culture of the Chinese nation has been continuous and unbroken. Valuing harmony is by no means simply understood as being weak and easy to bully, but rather encompasses profound principles of life. Tai Chi culture is precisely the best embodiment of this great way.

How fortunate we are to have the privilege of learning Tai Chi from our master and grasping the essence of Tai Chi! We firmly believe that under the guidance of our master, the Taiji Songquan team will surely carry forward the profound learning of the past sages!
