When the true essence of Tai Chi is practiced before one’s eyes, benefiting the world will naturally bring about the birth of all things

“View”

It was like being in seclusion during the epidemic

Cultivate the mind, nature and body

The orifices are as firm as mortise and tenon joints

A pine that opens its orifice is as lively as a pass

Ascetic Practice: Ninety-Nine Eighty-One

It’s not as good as the master’s Heavenly secrets

Every step, every hand, every eye, every body and every step, reveals a vast expanse of the sky

Only then can one understand that one needs to observe the world

Each do their own way and stay in their own place

Do not bring disasters upon the world

Stroke by stroke, it becomes clear

The mystery of the universe lies in nature

Hard work pays off; laziness awakens

Wisdom is revealed in the decline of the world

A prodigal son’s return is worth more than gold

Cherishing the present is the true connection

The true essence of Tai Chi is practiced right before the eyes

When the world is saved, all things come to life naturally

Thoughts on Practicing Tai Chi

Unconsciously, I have been practicing Tai Chi under my master for almost a year. At first, I tried it out of the curiosity of a young person. Although the practice time was not long, under my master’s guidance and with the mutual encouragement of fellow practitioners, I found it increasingly enjoyable and gradually experienced the charm of Tai Chi.

After practicing Tai Chi, I gradually developed the habit of exercising at a fixed time and in a fixed amount every day. Up to now, I have completely recorded more than 150 days of practice. Every Saturday morning, I go to Jiulongbi to practice boxing and have also given up the habit of sleeping in on rest days. Since I started practicing boxing, not only has my physical fitness improved significantly, but my mind has also become clearer. There have been great improvements in my living habits and daily routine.

During the epidemic, it was impossible to go out for exercise. The rampant virus made people feel restless. Under such circumstances, persistently practicing Tai Chi every day until sweating profusely not only enhanced the body’s resistance but also made the mind clear and stable, boosting the confidence in fighting the epidemic.

The master often teaches that when practicing boxing, one should be “quiet, respectful and pure”. Practicing in the dojo is not only about self-cultivation, but also about cultivating the mind and nature. In the daily repetitive practice that seems ordinary but is actually profound, my heart gradually calmed down, and I comprehended the mystery of Tai Chi and honed my own temperament.

The master said that one should “have hands, waist and feet all in place”, but after practicing for a short time, I couldn’t grasp the subtleties and couldn’t help feeling a bit anxious. The master always gradually enlighten – in practicing Tai Chi, “nothingness is existence, and existence is nothingness.” Practicing boxing is like “ten months of pregnancy”… Under the guidance of my master’s words and deeds and the daily subtle practice, my control over my body has become stronger. The personality that was once teased by my parents as “burning one’s bottom” in childhood has gradually become more stable. I am now more composed and calm when facing the pressure and challenges at work. I believe that by persistently practicing Tai Chi, I will be able to face life more freely and confidently.

Thanks to the wonderful fate, I was fortunate enough to meet a master and develop a connection with Tai Chi. On the path of Tai Chi practice, I have just taken a small step. Taoism says, “One gives birth to two, two gives birth to three, and three gives birth to all things.” I hope that under the guidance of my master, I can devote myself to cultivating my mind and body, pass on and promote Tai Chi, a treasure of Chinese culture, and give more people the opportunity to experience the mystery and joy of Tai Chi.

Let’s meet in Tai Chi and benefit for a lifetime

I have an agreement with Tai Chi

Always want to have a healthy body.

Always want to have the ability to defend oneself.

I always want to have the ability to draw my sword and help others.

I have an agreement with Tai Chi:

Make an appointment to practice Tai Chi every day.

Realize the lofty aspirations you have made as soon as possible.

Now there is an outbreak of pulmonary epidemic.

Nowadays, the virus is rampant across the land of China.

Nowadays, work and study can only be done at home.

I have an agreement with Tai Chi:

Make an appointment to practice Tai Chi at home every day.

Strengthen the body and fight against lung disease.

When spring returns to the earth,

When the garden is full of vitality,

When the battle against the epidemic is won,

I have an agreement with Tai Chi:

Let’s make an appointment to gather again in Beihai to learn Tai Chi from our master.

Inheriting traditional Chinese culture benefits all people!

Taiji is extremely fortunate and has contributed to the fight against the epidemic

Taiji is extremely fortunate and has contributed to the fight against the epidemic

In the Year of the Rat, the Chinese people spent an extraordinary Spring Festival together. The rampant virus has made everyone feel insecure, which has made us even more aware of the importance of keeping fit. In response to the call of the country, our whole family has also been under home quarantine. We are a small Tai Chi family. This period of time has given us a lot of opportunities to practice Tai Chi and communicate, and we have also gained a deeper understanding of the infinite mysteries and charm of Tai Chi.

Every day, we practice the movements we have learned carefully, including the complete set of movements of the first line of the old frame, the method of winding silk, the eight methods of Tai Chi and pushing hands, etc. When practicing boxing, every move and posture is strictly followed and one dares not make any hasty changes. We carefully recalled our master’s teachingsWe hopeThe instructors and coaches, with their fists in hand, carefully studied the body techniques of loosening the shoulders, lowering the elbows, loosening the hips, and lowering the coccyx. They carefully experienced the key points such as calming the mind, the friction between the hands and the air, how to exhale the posture, and the lifting of the hundred meetings, enjoying the great love of the master like a father.

Before I finished practicing once, my whole body was gradually warming up. After practicing two or three times, my clothes were soaked through with sweat. But it felt so refreshing and invigorating, like drinking sweet dew, extremely comfortable. When the qi and blood flow smoothly, the complexion becomes rosy, the hips open, the joints flexible, and the waist can turn freely. The wonderful mood of the day also begins in the morning.

For me, the days of home quarantine are not dull and boring, because they have opened a new window for our retirement life and brought us inner peace. Through practicing boxing, our physical fitness has been significantly improved. The excess fat on my body has disappeared and the mild fatty liver I originally had is also gone. My husband has also changed a lot. His high blood lipid has decreased and the habit of snoring while sleeping has disappeared. We feel that our bodies are gradually becoming healthy, young and energetic. These gradually improving changes make us feel that practicing boxing is not a chore but a pleasure.

Practicing boxing not only brings joy to both the body and mind, but also gradually helps us develop the habit of working at dawn and resting at dusk. The master often said, “If you rise early, you will have three lights; if you rise late, you will have three emptiness.” In the morning, the heaven and earth bestow precious essence, energy and spirit. Only by getting up early can we receive this precious energy bestowed upon humanity by the heaven and earth, allowing us to be filled with positive energy throughout the day.

We live in the suburbs. There are many plants and the air is fresh. Every day, we are accompanied by flowers and plants, practice Tai Chi, and enjoy the gifts bestowed upon us by heaven. Whether it’s sunny or cloudy, the scenery nature bestows upon us is always so beautiful. Perhaps this is what the master often refers to as “Heaven rewards the diligent”.

Tai Chi is great love. Amid the ongoing pandemic and the national crisis, a series of support teams have rushed forward, ranging from professors and academicians in their nineties to young boys and girls born in the 1990s. It is they who have composed a series of magnificent and touching songs with their lives. It is they who, with their ordinary bodies, have built up one Great Wall after another against the epidemic, safeguarding hundreds of millions of people on earth. One moment after another, one story after another, earth-shaking and soul-stirring. Salute to the brave heroes who forge ahead against the tide. May the epidemic subside as soon as possible. May our motherland remain peaceful and sound. May the people be happy and healthy!

The highest good is like water, all reflecting its fragrance
